James is an active member of the professional restructuring community where he serves on the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Global Investment Committee. He is the former NextGen Chair on the TMA’s Southern California chapter's Board of Directors, TMA Global NextGen Executive Committee, and founding member of Secured Finance Network's (SFNet) Southern California's YoPro Committee. He has received numerous awards, is a published thought leader, and a frequent panel member. James received formal Spanish language training from the University of Grenada in Spain and speaks at a conversational level.
