Dawn Ragan

Dawn Ragan has 25 plus years of experience in financial advisory, turnaround management, and corporate finance. She is skilled in quickly assessing complex situations, developing effective operational and financial restructuring solutions, and managing multiple adverse constituencies.

Ms. Ragan’s engagements have included assets and operations in China, Japan, Europe, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. She has served in a variety of capacities including Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Plan Agent, Trustee, and Financial Advisor. She has provided expert witness testimony and litigation support.

Prior to her consulting career, Ms. Ragan spent over nine years in investment banking and was a real estate portfolio asset manager.

Previous engagements include:

  • Financial advisor to Chapter 11 trustee of three debtors involved in a $2 billion fraud, converting debtor to a legitimate enterprise, expected to generate returns of $.90 on invested capital; won multiple Turnaround of the Year awards in 2017
  • Chapter 11 trustee of real estate partnership with $100 million claims, including potential fraud; conducted asset sales process, managed related City development project and over $100 million in tax incentives
  • CRO/Trustee of Methodist-affiliated non-profit college in East Texas, managing complex issues with the DOE, accrediting body, state attorneys general, foundations, restricted and unrestricted gifts, contingent beneficiaries, political relationships, staff furloughs, various litigation, and eventual shutdown and sale of the college
  • CRO for twelve technology companies in California managing the day-to-day business and bankruptcy requirements, developed and implemented a plan of liquidation, managed a sales process, and negotiated over a billion dollars in claims of creditors and landlords; wind-down of international operations
  • Financial advisor to memory care organization with more than 40 national locations

Ms. Ragan has participated as a speaker on a number of national panels and is a member of ABI, TMA, AIRA, and IWIRC.
