Barak Tulin is a creative, analytical and effective executive with over 20 years of experience in performance improvement, restructuring and turnaround, financial planning and analysis, transaction services and general management. He is skilled in formulating and executing successful financial and operational restructuring plans, developing robust and predictive P&L and cash-flow models and working collaboratively with clients and their stakeholders through varying degrees of transition.

Mr. Tulin’s advisory experience prior to CR3 includes 10 years of broad and deep restructuring and performance-improvement engagements at Winter Harbor, CRG Partners and Huron Consulting Group. His industry experience includes four years in the U.S. and Latin America finance organization at Unilever, a €53 billion global consumer-products manufacturer, as well as five years in general management at startups in the entertainment and publishing industries.

Representative engagements include:

  • Financial and operational advisor to a chain of 32 skilled-nursing and assisted-living facilities seeking to manage cash and evaluate its strategic options
  • Member of CRO team for Revel, a 1,399-room hotel and casino in Atlantic City that opened in 2012 and underwent two Chapter 11 bankruptcies
  • On-site case leader for CRO team of Nuo Therapeutics, a biotech firm that went through Chapter 11 bankruptcy and emerged through a Plan of Reorganization
  • Operational advisor to the pharmaceutical-services division of a $10 billion services firm that sought to improve its organizational structure and performance
  • Financial and operational advisor to a $70 million construction-toy manufacturer and injection-molding facility that was ultimately sold to a private-equity firm
  • Cash-flow management and transaction advisory for CB Holding Corp., a restaurant holding company that filed for bankruptcy and sold its three banners to three different strategic buyers as well as closed-store liquor licenses to individual purchasers
  • Financial advisor to a $7 million RMR home-security firm which recapitalized its debt and equity; a $270 million designer, marketer and distributor of infant- and juvenile-safety products; a $150 million manufacturer of inboard motorboats that reduced excess inventory and changed its manufacturing strategy; and a $25 million family-owned cold-storage facility which was ultimately sold to a private-equity firm and rolled up with other cold-storage facilities

Mr. Tulin is fluent in Hebrew and is strongly proficient in Spanish and Italian.
