Tyler Payne is a turnaround professional with experience in strategic transactions, refinancing, modeling and budgets, and business intelligence. He has four years of experience serving as a distressed creditor as well as four years of experience working as an operator within cash-constrained businesses. Tyler began his career at Goldman Sachs during the first oil and gas downturn covering Natural Resources in Credit Research and Restructuring.

  • Senior Operator of restructuring team that successfully turned around struggling $300MM consumer services business in bankruptcy, resulting in +70% EBITDA growth and $50MM dividend to shareholders. Served as trusted counsel to CEO and CFO, owning all lender and board reporting. Drove and measured efficacy of company strategy through enhanced KPI visibility and zero-based budget processes.
  • Member of restructuring team that successfully restructured $6B+ of reserve-backed loans for small to mid-major E&Ps. Represented the team on Creditor Committees for $200MM Canadian oil and gas producer and $400MM European oil and gas producer, which culminated in transactions recovering full value for the firm.
  • Interim CFO for venture-backed company. Oversaw business from initial fundraising, product development timeline and operating budget through the signing of first large clients and transition to the go-forward team.
