Heather Williams

Managing Director

Heather Williams has over 20 years of professional experience in financial restructuring, litigation support services, financial and operational analysis, forensic accounting, business valuation, and corporate accounting. She provides financial consulting services to troubled entities, debtors in Chapter 7 and 11, lenders, creditors, and fiduciaries. Her experience includes business valuations for use in bankruptcy cases and litigation related thereto.

Heather also has extensive experience in claims analysis, adjudication and resolution, as well as interim and final claims distribution and case wind-down activities. Heather is a member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), Turnaround Management Association (TMA), American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is also on the Board of Directors for the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation.

Representative Experience
  • Financial Advisor to the CRO, President, and Treasurer for manufacturer of saltwater batteries, Aquion Energy. Assisted with the wind down of operations, consummated §363 sale, negotiated class action WARN settlement, and adjudicated all claims. Serves as Financial Advisor to the Liquidation Trustee for the post-confirmation trust.

  • Financial Advisor to the Receiver for two skilled nursing homes and an assisted living facility. Successfully transferred facilities per Change of Ownership agreements to new operator with no delay in or loss of third-party payor reimbursements or decline in resident care.

  • Consultant to expert witness in fraudulent conveyance matter involving a large healthcare system where she analyzed contingent claims and assisted with the preparation of the expert report and related analyses.

  • Financial Advisor to Receiver of the Disthene Group that operated a natural kyanite mine, a Virginia Beach oceanfront hotel and conference center complex, and an adjacent historic hotel. Managed hotel operations while preparing the hotels for sale.

  • Financial Advisor to Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors for Nine West, a retailer and wholesaler of footwear, clothing, and accessories. Assisted Committee by providing forensic, consulting, and litigation support services related to an LBO transaction which was the subject of a fraudulent conveyance recovery action. Analyzed several years of intercompany transactions, and resulting liabilities, by and between dozens of foreign and domestic subsidiaries.
