Akash  Amin

Akash Amin is a restructuring professional with 13 years of experience with providing financial and operational consulting services as well as interim management in distressed situations. He has successfully provided turnaround and restructuring services to distressed companies, including wind-downs and operational performance improvements. In addition, Akash has served various executive and interim leadership roles for his clients, including CRO, CFO, Board Member, and Turnaround Manager.

Akash currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Chicago/Midwest Chapter as the Vice President of Programs after previously serving as a co-chair of the Entertainment and NextGen committees for 5 years. He received the Emerging Leader Award in 2022 and the Certified Turnaround Professional of the Year Award in 2023 from the TMA.   • CRO of Allied Healthcare Products, Inc., where he led the successful operational turnaround and the transaction process of a going-concern bankruptcy 363 sale. Negotiated with the local union to rehire employees, secure a new lender, avoid FDA shutdowns, improve revenue per head by 200%, distribute 40% to unsecured creditors, and sell the company at four times liquidation value.
  • Financial advisor who led the operational wind-down and revenue cycle management of a publicly traded healthcare company. Managed over 80 employees, led 2 divestitures of medical facilities netting $16MM, and improved cashflows by over 50%. Successfully led the legal discovery process of the client’s D&O lawsuit that settled for $15MM.
