Manny Chavira is a highly accomplished and innovative professional with a history of delivering financial and risk advisory, growth, and transformation strategies for healthcare businesses.

Prior to joining CR3 Partners, Manny was a leader in Deloitte’s national Life Sciences and Healthcare Advisory practice. Throughout his career, Manny has served various offerings within valuation, strategy & operations, and their corporate restructuring group.

Representative Experience
  • Served simultaneously as Director of Strategic Finance and Analysis for $2B hospital system and Interim CFO of Verity Medical Foundation. Led various initiatives related to liquidity management valuation of capitated arrangements and beginning phases of an ERP implementation. Advised on preparation for bankruptcy coordinating with investment bankers to secure $185MM of DIP financing. Reviewed detailed APA legal agreements and worked directly with C-level leadership to draft counter language for deal terms and address deal concerns related to the legal language drafting. Led a system deep dive on AP to evaluate system-wide issues that uncovered 70% of spend was non-PO based ($400MM) - presented findings to C-level leadership with potential interim solutions for better cost containment.

  • Trusted advisor to CFO of California-based hospital system. Created and designed interim accounting information system that fulfilled major reporting needs for internal/external requirements. Worked closely with management to prepare 13-week cash flow model that served as week-to-week liquidity management tool for six hospitals (with ability to view by each individual hospital). Worked directly with executive leadership to develop three-year liquidity model monthly that was used to assess hospital system’s liquidity needs to determine capital requirements.

  • Financial advisor to Tennessee based hospital. Developed complex model to evaluate a carve-out to assist management in designing a future state finance operating model.

  • Financial advisor to integrated physician group of Northeast health system. Helped identify financial opportunities by methodically benchmarking physician compensation and by socializing the findings with leadership.

  • Senior consultant to large healthcare provider for a Northeast health system. Designed and developed physician organization reporting dashboards which are now used by leadership as a comprehensive reporting package to assess the financial/operational performance of healthcare providers - dashboards were automated where a process was created for the client to upload data and through a macro created separate individual reports for the 1,000+ physician network saved in PDF format in designated folders by reporting director.
