Joseph Lauro has over 25 years of experience in private equity investing, corporate finance transactions, and turnaround management. In addition, Joseph has extensive expertise in consumer products goods (“CPG”) sectors including the food & beverage vertical.

Prior to joining CR3, Joseph was a Managing Director at Kinetic Advisors, a national investment banking firm focused on corporate finance transactions. Previously, Joseph served as Managing Director of Silver Ventures where he managed a direct investment portfolio consisting of CPG operating companies and functioned as CFO at the Holding Company. Additionally, Joseph was placed in CFO and CRO operating positions as a Partner at Corporate Revitalization Partners and spent ten years with a Big Four Accounting Firm as Capital Markets Director and Corporate Recovery Manager.

Joseph serves on Corporate Boards of Directors and from various roles executes both growth strategies and strategies to reverse declining financial performance and leads corporate finance transactions including divestitures and M&A transactions.

  • Key accomplishments with direct investment portfolio at Silver Ventures
    • Increased EBITDA from $8MM to $18MM in two years
    • Increased equity value by $160MM in four years
    • Aligned portfolio investment plans with company actions by implementing a Capital Authorization Policy for capital expenditures averaging $20MM annually
    • Changed culture in finance & accounting departments to enhance operations by emphasizing forward-looking information
    • Led $750MM of capital market transactions including divestitures, recapitalizations, and growth capital investments
  • Served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Board Member for $40MM investment in CPG company that yielded a $10MM improvement in EBITDA. Replaced CEO, head of sales, completed new greenfield manufacturing facility, and discharged old facility liabilities
  • Direct Report to Chief Restructuring Officer and Board of publicly traded distributor and manufacturer.  Led profit-building initiatives, implemented cost control measures, and provided active management of borrowing needs and financing arrangements resulting in a $5MM improvement in EBITDA
  • Chief Financial Officer of IT training company reporting directly to the Board. Executed a new line of credit, combined corporate headquarters and operational facilities, and downsized workforce.
