Sugi Hadiwijaya has more than 15 years of combined experience in financial services and turnaround management, assisting companies with tasks such as cash management, securing of financing, business plan assessment, M&A activities, and financial modeling in multiple industries.

Mr. Hadiwijaya previously served as a Senior Vice President at the turnaround group at Deloitte (Deloitte CRG) where he led engagement teams and managed daily client’s interaction and negotiations with stakeholders.

Notable engagements include:

  • Interim Chief Financial Officer of Garden Fresh Restaurants LLC, a 98-chain restaurant in California specializing in family-friendly, healthy food choices
  • Acting VP Finance/Controller of a $500 million general merchandise retailer, where he led finance team and managed liquidity/working capital
  • Strategic Advisory to a specialty apparel manufacturer, where he developed framework for 100-day Plan.
  • Strategic Advisory to a fast-growing regional eyewear retailer for a PE firm, where he developed performance metrics tool for finance and operations.
  • Member of the Chief Restructuring Officer team of Pilgrim’s Pride, the second largest poultry processor, where he managed liquidity and led business plan development.
  • Financial Advisory for a $1 billion bus company in regards to its route optimization, where he led cost reduction negotiations and developed metrics.
  • Financial Advisory for a $1 billion health club chain, where he designed a complex collections model and advised executives on cash-acceleration initiatives.
  • Financial Advisory for a $600 million arts and crafts retailer, where he developed a four-wall store profitability analysis on footprint rationalization.

Mr. Hadiwijaya holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CPA), Certified Insolvency Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and Certified Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV). He authored Cash is King, Deloitte CRG’s training program on cash flow forecast and liquidity management. He published articles, was interviewed and spoke in panels in liquidity management and turnaround matters. In addition, Mr. Hadiwijaya leads the university relations outreach for Turnaround Management Association (TMA), where he cultivates relationship and develops educational workshops with local universities.
