Ron Lottman, Director

Ron Lottman is a senior financial executive with significant accomplishments in global business, including public and private equity-backed organizations. Ron has a hands-on approach with clients, working directly with management teams to leverage solutions to build enterprise value, increase working capital, and improve operating margins. He has extensive experience developing high-performance teams and has worked on numerous engagements involving turnarounds, bankruptcies, strategy development, risk management, and complex negotiations.

Prior to joining CR3, Ron held various senior leadership roles in finance and operations serving as CFO and VP for Husqvarna, the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawnmowers and garden tractors, as well as Rexam PLC, one of the world’s top five consumer packaging/manufacturing companies serving the beverage, personal care, healthcare, and food markets.

Representative Experience

  • VP and CFO of Husqvarna Group (Americas):
  • Brought operating loss of $97MM to solid profit in three years.
  • Introduced various approaches which generated more than $200MM of cash
  • Identified and collected on $5MM dollar contract error with $2MM ongoing annual savings missed by two previous CFOs
  • Reduced U.S. corporate staff by 30% while improving service, information, and controls, including a two-day reduction in the monthly closing process.
  • VP and CFO of Rexam PLC (North America Beverage Can Sector):
  • Established financial control and led the integration of administrative functions for a major acquisition with operations in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.
  • Within a zero-growth market, helped double Return on Net Assets (RONA) from 20% to 40% with profit increasing 80% and achieved a sustainable negative working capital.
  • Co-developed and coordinated $80MM restructuring and re-engineering project.
  • Reduced $6MM in finance overhead costs, in part due to expanding SAP into manufacturing.
  • Achieved world-class cost for the financial function at less than 0.2% of sales.
  • Resolved failed contracts (Enron, Coors, Pabst, Dayton Systems Group) realizing $28MM in profit, capturing new $120MM manufacturing contract, and establishing new $100MM product line.
