Matt Lupton offers a broad range of restructuring advisory expertise having spent more than 12 years of his career in bank loan workout, restructuring and turnaround advisory roles. Prior to that, he spent his career engaged in investment origination, underwriting debt and equity.

A few notable engagements include:

  • Interim Treasurer and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for a $75 million construction-related manufacturing company
  • Helped develop and implement a recovery plan for a $200 million mid-stream operation through a strategic Chapter 11 S363 sale process
  • Assisted a $200 million restaurant chain in successfully emerging from Chapter 11.
  • Coordinated the development of a turnaround plan for a $100 million liquor store retail chain.
  • Brought visibility into a closely held home healthcare company’s working capital cycle and helped the management team explore viable turnaround strategies and sources of funding
  • Assisted a troubled residential construction company in understanding working capital needs and helped craft a successful outcome for all stakeholders
  • Helped craft and implement a creditor recovery plan for a $30 million oil field service company.
  • Developed and implemented a turnaround strategy for an equipment leasing portfolio while managing the workout of individual portfolio leases.

Mr. Lupton is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and has been an active participant on a number of local and global board for the TMA. He is currently pursuing the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) designation and a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV).
