Chris Creger, Director

Chris Creger provides financial advisory, business restructuring and transaction support services to corporations, lending institutions, private equity firms, hedge funds and law firms. He works with a wide range of clients including secured lenders, bondholders, unsecured creditors, debtors, stockholders, private equity and other investors, with matters involving turnaround, bankruptcy, out-of-court workouts, litigation, lender and M&A due diligence, transactional support, and profit improvement services. Mr. Creger has significant experience serving clients in a wide range of industries.

Mr. Creger’s select engagements include:

  • Deputy CRO to an international distressed $115 million sales distribution company focusing on replacement parts in construction and off highway earthmoving equipment.
  • Financial Advisor to international privately held organics management company specializing in renewable energy and organic waste recycling.
  • Represent the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of a multinational retail company through a $3 billion claims reconciliation and oversight process, ultimately becoming Financial Advisor to the post Effective Date Liquidating Trustee.
  • Manage daily activities of a $160 million Liquidating Trust including resolving associated preference action litigation, disputed pre-petition claims, and provide wind-down budget forecasting and distribution calculation analyses.
  • Advised an international global pulp and paper manufacturer with $5 billion of debt through its US and Canadian bankruptcy and restructuring process. Formulated the claims resolution process for more than 26,000 bankruptcy claims filed against 34 debtor companies.
  • Assisted a fully integrated oil and gas company with over $1.3 billion in funded debt and 2007 consolidated sales in excess of $16.2 billion, in its Chapter 11 proceedings. Prepared company’s Schedules of Assets and Liabilities and the Statements of Financial Affairs filings, in addition to managing the pre‐petition executory contracts database. Created and administered complex Access databases to analyze and manipulate large volumes of financial data to produce internal and external financial reports. Assisted on the claims reconciliation process for over 12,000 filed and over 10,000 scheduled claims.

Mr. Creger served as the Chair of the New York Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) NextGen.
