Brad Young, Manager

Brad Young is an experienced advisor to distressed and underperforming companies across a variety of industries. In this capacity, he has advised and collaborated with management teams, Boards of Directors, investors, lenders, and other advisors to develop and implement actionable restructuring plans. Brad has significant experience in financial modelling and analysis, valuation, cost optimization, M&A due diligence, project management, working capital analysis, and in identifying and achieving operational improvements.

Prior to joining CR3 Partners, Brad was a Director within FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice. Additionally, Brad served four years in the United States Navy.  He received an honorable discharge and, during the course of his service, he received several awards recognizing his outstanding job performance and leadership.

Representative Experience

  • Interim Head of Finance at a distressed $975MM energy project charged with providing secured lender and investors with increased visibility regarding the operational shortcomings of the project. Created detailed operating forecast and budget presentation for lenders and investors to evaluate near-term liquidity requirements, as well as to evaluate long-term returns to investors. Developed and presented a restructuring plan which outlined the go-forward framework of the project.
  • Advised Audit Committee of the Board of Directors at a $2.5B global energy developer regarding liquidity and operating projections. Created numerous presentations for the Board by distilling and analyzing financial information; presentations served to advise the Board regarding liquidity, covenant compliance, status of annual financial audit, and the status of ongoing projects, among other items.
  • Part of Chief Restructuring Officer team at a global B2B Private Line and Ethernet Telecom Company. Managed the diligence process for a $34MM asset sale. Managed the diligence process for a $34MM asset sale; process involved creating pro-forma projections, preparing analysis of critical customers and vendors and conducting a thorough review of the Company’s telecom network.
  • Advised Private Equity firm regarding restructuring and M&A options at one of its portfolio companies. Facilitated successful sale of the Company by creating and presenting pro-forma income statement and balance sheet projections to prospective buyers; the successful sale allowed our client to recoup a portion of its investment and avoid a Chapter 7 liquidation scenario.
